RMC x messerdepot x J.E. Made | SKO9 | brass

Before we look at the hard facts of these two beautiful fixed knives, a little history of how this collaboration came about.

I have been close friends with Sven, the owner of messerdepot, for 4 years now and we have had a great working relationship ever since. In 2021 he showed me his prototype of the SK09 during a visit. I was immediately hooked on the small EDC fixed blade and Sven's design. The plan was to have the knife produced by none other than JiYi (owner of J.E. Made knives). The first run of the SK09 was in December 2022 and when the knives arrived at Sven's I was one of the first to hold them in my hands. The result was that I went home with all available variants of the SK09. Each with the serial number 002, which is pretty cool, isn't it?

Before planning the second run of the SK09 for the end of 2023, I talked to Sven and told him how great I would find it to be able to offer the SK09 in an exclusive version with brass handles in my store. This is exactly what Sven & JiYi made possible.

So today I can proudly offer you the RMC Exclusive SK09 in 2 different handle finishes. The version with the aged brass is limited to 10 pieces ane more or less a product of chance. When communicating the brass finish, JiYi got something wrong and made the brass very dark with a rich stonewashed finish. This was not the original plan, but the result was so brilliant that we made a special limited edition version out of it! So cool.
